Simple DIY Thanksgiving Centerpiece + a Free Printable "Give Thanks" Banner
Happy Thanksgiving Eve, friends! We decided at the last minute that we would host dinner at our house for Turkey day. I'm lucky enough to have the day off today, so I'm kicking our Thanksgiving preparations into high gear! This morning, I made Bourbon-Cranberry sauce and chopped veggies and sweet potatoes so tomorrow I can relax and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with Anth and Chlo. This afternoon, I put the finishing touch on our pumpkin, pinecone and eucalyptus centerpiece: this DIY freestanding "Give Thanks" banner.
TIP: Elevate simple white pumpkins by spray painting the stems gold!
The supports of the banner are made from two wooden wheels and a 1/4" dowel rod cut to size, which I found at Michael's in the wooden craft aisle. It was so simple to put together! I thought about painting them gold, or staining them a dark brown but with the length of my current to-do list, I decided to go with the natural look for tomorrow!
I know we're pretty late in the game here, but if you are looking for a simple addition to your Thanksgiving decor, I'm sharing my banner as a free download. All you have to do is print, cut, and string it up! If you're busy cooking in the kitchen, enlist your kids (or husband) to help out with this one! It really is as simple as can be.
