DIY Ranunculus & Fern Spring Wreath
Spring is pretty much tied with Fall for my favorite time of year. I don't love the identity crisis that the weather in PA is having... in the 70's one day and then a chance of snow that weekend? No thanks! But I always look forward to the first days of spring when air smells sweet, the birds are singing and the trees start blooming. In celebration of the new season, I made these new spring wreaths to decorate our doors!

Looking ahead to my garden project, I wanted to come up with a cohesive color scheme that complimented my chartreuse green front door color. I settled on a combo of white, green, pinky-red and deep purple. I bought my grapevine wreath, faux ferns and silk ranunculus during a 60% off sale at Michaels and then got to work! I didn't realize until I got home that I used a very similar colors for my Fall Wreath a couple years ago. Back in the fall of 2014, I was all about seventies inspired colors like rusty reds and olive greens. Bright, happy shades update this color scheme for spring 2016! Also, I didn't realize until I pulled up that old post again that I used ferns as a base for my fall wreath too. I guess I like what I like!
