Letting Go of Perfectionism

I used to be proud of being a perfectionist. I do believe a healthy dose of perfectionism can be a good thing - something that motivates us to do better and strive for more for ourselves. While this quality has contributed to my growth and success to some degree, I’ve come to understand that the pressure I put on myself can often be more hurtful than helpful…

My Must-Haves for Baby's First Year

There are so many baby registry checklists out there but if you’re attempting to be on the more affordable, minimal and stylish side with your baby gear, this post is for you. I’m not sharing a comprehensive list of everything you need for the first year of your baby’s life - just a list of my favorite and most-used items (all gender-neutral!) as a mom who’s been there…

Our Autumn Bucket List | Free PDF Download

It may not be fall yet according to the calendar, but the changing weather here in Pennsylvania has me excited for all things autumn. I was inspired to make this Autumn Bucket List for my own family after seeing similar ideas from A Beautiful Mess and Kitty Cotten. I’m a big fan of both of those gals and their style, but for myself I wanted something a little more simple and classic. When I couldn’t find anything I liked on Pinterest, I decided to make my own! Anthony and I had fun filling ours out with a mix of fun family activities, date night plans, and a couple of home and garden projects. The goal isn’t to stress ourselves out feeling like we have to do every single thing on this list before fall is over - more so to give us ideas when we are planning our weekends and help make sure we make the most of my very favorite season! Here’s what we put on our autumn bucket list…

One Year of Sage

It’s been quite the year. The last blog post I wrote was on my own birthday back in March. I’ve had so many ideas and things I’ve wanted to write about since then and now that my book is off to the publisher for editing (more about that soon!) it seems fitting that my first catch up post should be about Sage’s birthday…

28

A few of years ago, I started a blog tradition of interviewing myself every year on my birthday. These posts are mostly for me to be able to look back at what’s changed and what’s stayed the same as the years go by. I missed writing one last year, but so far I’ve written them at 24, 25, 26 and now 28…

I'm Writing a Book!

Hello friends! So today is my 28th birthday, and I thought what better way to celebrate than to let you in on a little secret I’ve been keeping for the last few months? You may have noticed my blog posts and newsletters have been pretty sparse since the New Year. That’s because I’ve been spending all of spare time (aside from running an interior design business and taking care of a baby!) working on a very big, very exciting project…

I’m writing a craft book!

If you felt like that was a little out of left field just now, welcome to my brain last September when I was first approached by my now editor. I’ve been blogging for nearly 8 years now but I never really considered myself a writer. Needless to say, that is changing now! I have been thoroughly enjoying the book writing process so far and I’m excited to share more details with you on what’s been going on behind the scenes here at Stevie Storck Design Co…

A Day in the Life

If you’ve ever been curious about what life looks like for a work-from-home mom of an 8 month old baby, this post is for you! This is my first time writing a post like this (it was suggested when I surveyed readers via Instagram about topics they’d like to read about in the new year) and I’m already looking forward to reading it in a few years. With small business and motherhood, everything changes so fast…
