DIY Essential Oil Linen Spray

One of my goals in life is to be the type of person who makes their bed everyday. I've also found that doing small things to make the new routines I'm trying to set more enjoyable helps me stick with them! So a few months ago, I whipped up a bottle of this easy DIY essential oil linen spray and I've been using it as a pillow mist every time I make the bed. It's so nice curling up in a nicely made and heavenly-smelling bed at the end of the day!

What You'll Need

  • 4 oz. glass spray bottles (I use these amber ones)

  • A small funnel

  • Distilled water

  • Witch hazel

  • 20 drops of Lavender essential oil

  • 20 drops of Rosemary essential oil

I love the smell of lavender and rosemary together, but the best thing about essential oils is that you can experiment to find your own favorite combinations! The basic recipe uses about 40 drops total, so feel free to combine your own favorite scents to customize your linen spray!

Start by filling your spray bottle halfway with distilled water, using the small funnel. Next add your essential oils, then fill the bottle the rest of the way with witch hazel. Replace the cap, give it a good shake and your linen spray is ready to go! It really couldn't be easier. I keep one of these bottles on my nightstand so it's always in easy reach, and I also use it every time I wash the linens in our guest bedroom.

I know this is where a lot of blogs will say, "If you're interested in learning more about essential oils, click here to join my (insert multi-level marketing company) team!". As a general rule, I tend to avoid companies like that. No offense if you buy or sell them! It's just a personal preference, but one I'm pretty solidly aligned with for a variety of reasons. But since I have gotten more into essential oils lately, I thought it might be cool to share how I'm using them in our home, as a person who won't pressure you to buy them through me.

So my question is, is this a topic you'd like to read more of here on steviestorck.com?
