Our leader and host, Sharon de Beaumont is a seasoned gardener who has spent the last nine years creating and tending to a community-focused urban flower farm. If you were lucky enough to attend any of our Garden Walks in 2023-2024, you are familiar with the magic of Little Farm Flowers East. As Sharon is moving to Texas this June, this Garden Circle series is her offering to the club: a way of continuing the legacy of Little Farm Flowers East by providing space, time and support for us to plan our 2025 gardens together. Here is what we’ve dreamed up for this experience:

Friday, February 7th: Welcome Call (Virtual)

Once our group of 12 has come together, we will meet on zoom to get to know each other and share our hopes and intentions for the 2025 gardening season. Sharon has a wealth of experience and expertise to share, from kitchen gardening, to medicinal plants and herbalism, to flower farming, to natural dyes. We are excited to be able to tailor the hands-on portion of our circle to suit the interests of the group.

Friday, February 28th: First Circle at Little Farm Flowers East *address provided with confirmation

We will gather in Sharon’s home for the first of our three in-person circles. Sharon will start with an educational segment on Garden Planning. Then we will have time for a Q&A along with a brief work session where we’ll provide graph paper and pencils for sketching out your preliminary garden plans. We will finish this circle with a hands-on activity: winter sowing in milk jugs. Of course, there will be hot tea, yummy snacks, and a Sharing Table set up for each of our circles, too!

Friday, March 28th: Second Circle at Little Farm Flowers East

Our next in-person circle will start with an educational segment from Sharon on the topic of Sowing & Growing. Next, we will go around the circle sharing our progress on our garden plans and the opportunity to receive advice and support from Sharon and the rest of the group in bringing your garden dreams to fruition. Based on the interests of the group, Sharon will lead us in a hands-on activity or demonstration to close out our time together.

Friday, April 25th: Third Circle at Little Farm Flowers East

For our third in-person circle, Sharon will offer an educational segment on Harvesting & Processing. We will have time for Q&A, receiving support as we finalize our garden plans. Based on the interests of the group, Sharon will lead us in a hands-on activity or demonstration to close out our time together.

Saturday, May 24th: Sharon’s Last Garden Party

We are planning a final hurrah for Little Farm Flowers East and send-off for Sharon as she starts her new adventure in Texas. We will gather for a closing circle as a part of this celebratory day. More details will be provided as we finalize the details this spring.
